A CASE OF DYSTROPHIA MYOTONICA

Abstract
|

|
A case of dystrophia myotonica without clinical myotonia in a 50 years old Korean male is reported. The patient had positive family history, frontal baldness, progressive muscular dystrophy of characteristic distribution, subcapsular cataract, impotence, ECG abnormality and creatinuria.
Some diagnostic problems are discussed when there is no clinical myotonia proved on routine neurological examination excluding a study of EMG.
